How Battles Work
The Star Force RP brand of battles blends turn-based actions, writing-based character development, and a world-class rewards system.

HP and Damage Levels
When it comes to Health Points, SFRP can be described as Smash Bros meets Street Fighter.

Health for all starts at a base of 100%, and counts down from there.

Damage Scale

Pathetic: 1%
Pitiful: 2%
Low: 3%
Moderate: 5%
Modest: 7%
High: 10%
Great: 15%
Immense: 20%
Incredible: 30%
Outstanding: 50%
Stupendous: 75%
God Mod: 100%

Customs, Card Loading, and Keeping Count
The starting custom looks like this:

Code:

[hr]
HP: 100%
Custom: 0/10
Cards: [Card1]-[Card2]-[Card3]-[Card4]-[Card5]-[Card6]
---
Actions Summary:
1.
2.
3.

Turn 0 - you choose the cards, start with snappy lines, and make use of character weapons.

Gauge Cycle

Turn 0: Slot In (cards may not be used)
Turn 1: Normal
Turn 2: Normal
Turn 3: Normal
Turn 4: Normal
Turn 5: Normal
Turn 6: Normal
Turn 7: Normal
Turn 8: Normal
Turn 9: Normal
Turn 10: FULL(No Slot In. You may wait as long as you like to slot in more cards)
Turn 0: Slot In (cards may not be used)

~How to Attack~
Against a single opponent or group of virii, your character gets three action slots.

Quote:

Action Summary:
1. Sword (Modest / 7% Sword Damage @ opponent1)

A card or attack may only be used once during a turn.

Describe the attack in the post, and in the Custom section, summarize what attack(s) was/were used, and to whom the attack was directed.

~How to Dodge~
Dodging, like talk, is free.

As long as it is both possible and plausible, your character can perform a dodge in any manner you wish to describe.

Quote:

ExampleMan "read" the attack. When Opponent1 reached for his side, alarm bells went off in ExampleMan's head: "GUN ALERT! GUN ALERT!"

By time Opponent1 had lifted the gun, ExampleMan was already diving to the right, safely out of harm's way.

~How to take damage~
Not every attack can be dodged. You, and your character, don't always see everything coming. Lady Luck won't always save the inept Wave Warrior. Sometime during the battle, a hit is bound to land.

Don't panic when this happens.

Your opponent, like you, is a courteous writer. Hopefully. Simply read their actions summary, calculate the damage taken from the attack, and subtract from the HP in your Custom.

Quote:

Look up! It's a bird! It's an anvil! No, it's a falling Easter Island Head!

ExampleMan didn't look up. Or down; he was focused on watching Opponent1 - to better dodge the next gunshot. Focused intently, maybe a little too much: ExampleMan was almost leering at Opponent 1's ample forearms. Lust in the eyes...

Then the stone dropped, knocking ExampleMan flat on the ground, breaking on his back. The sudden weight, the surprise, left him struggling for sight and breath...
