As you guys are aware, activity around here has decreased once again. We've been talking some things over in the staff room, and we've come to a few conclusions. People just don't like Star Force. They're rather go to a Battle Network forum than waste their time here. We don't have a strong member base to draw in members, and the ones that we think are going to stick around abandon us after a few months. In order for us to survive, we need to be innovative and creative. Its time for a change. Starting today, Star Force RP is no more.

Save your tears for another day, because we're not gone yet. We're just not a Star Force focused forum anymore. We are now Yu-Gi-Oh! FORCE. Thats right: We are a combination of both Megaman Star Force and Yu-Gi-Oh. Why Yu-Gi-Oh you ask? Since cards are used in Star Force, we thought it would be fitting to use the most popular card game that we know of to revive us. If you didn't like Yu-Gi-Oh before, you better start liking it now.

Transitioning won't be a problem. All of the locations and boards will remain the same. The only difference is that there no longer is a Wave World, and battles will be done in the form of a card game. Here's more explanation below.

Yu-Gi-Oh! FORCE

Welcome to the world of Yu-Gi-Oh FORCE. In this never before seen crossover, you'll see the best parts of Yu-Gi-Oh combined together with the wondrous world of Star Force. With a new battle system and new concepts, FORCE will sweep the internet by storm with its innovative rules and intriguing setting. Experience an RP like you have never experienced before.

The world of FORCE is identical to that of Star Force, using the exact locations and the exact same characters. What is the difference you might ask? The Wave World no longer exists. Thats right: Wave Conversions and battles are gone. In their place, a new dueling system has replaced violent conflicts, using both actual Yu-Gi-Oh cards and a new system in the Yu-Gi-Oh realm: Card Force. What is Card Force? Remember those cards you used in the old SFRP? Yea. THATS Card Force. Battle Cards can now be used alongside Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Dueling will be done using the Hunter VG as your Duel Disk thanks to a new program developed by FORCE technologies. FORCE, the dominant supplier of trading cards, has discovered ways to incorporate technology into simply playing cards, giving each its own form of identification. The Hunter VG reads the data stored in the cards and displays them in the form of Matter Waves, the newest form of holographs. Just when you thought that playing cards couldn't get more realistic, FORCE throws the technology of physical holographs right in your face.

Duels won't work exactly how you think they will. Instead of having your hand be random, you get to choose your cards in the world of FORCE. Like in our previous battle system, you load 6 cards into your Hunter VG. These cards can be both a combination of Yu-Gi-Oh cards and Battle cards, making for a plethora of different combinations. However, the cards you load into your Hunter VG won't actually go into your hand until you draw them. How do you draw cards you ask? Each slot where you load your cards as a specific number. The first card loaded is in the "1" slot, continuing until the 6th slot. In order to draw a card, you must use the die roll located in the "Post Options" section when you post. Depending on what you roll, you get to put that card in your hand. Take in mind that you must use the die roll in the post before you actual use the card in order for it to be in your hand. From there, if you've ever played Yu-Gi-Oh, then you know what to do. It works the same way. Everyone has 4000 Life Points, and when it reaches 0, you lose.

Battle Cards will work as supplements for monsters. Using a Battle Card boosts that monster's attack by the amount given on the card times 100. Battle Cards have a one time use effect, even if they were Mutli Use before. Multi Hitting attacks only boost your monster's attack by the initial value of the hits. If you have a card that deals 5 hits of Pathetic damage, your monster is only boosted by 100 attack points.

Once duels are over, the loser must forfeit the first card that he drew at the start of the match. This rule MUST be followed, or you will lose all of your cards to your opponent.

Those are the major changes in the FORCE world. Any discrepancy will be cleared up in the following weeks the more this system is used. Now, former members of SFRP, its time to get your game on!

All Wizards and Wave Conversions are gone. We're starting fresh, so there will be no compensation for what you've had in the past. We'll let you guys check out the new Card Library once we finish it up.

I hope you guys like the changes. ^.^

EDIT: The rules and skins are all beta. They are subject to change upon the decision of staff. Thank you for your cooperation.
