Spica Mall roared with life. The bustle of people gave the shopping center a voice of its own, subtle and chaotic throughout. Some were just killing time, while others were in a rush to get what they came for, making for a decently mixed crowd of people. It was like any old day at the mall: busy and annoying.

At least for Zuhal it was.

Zuhal stood inside the main entrance, taking in his surroundings as best as he could from what seemed to be the safest part of the mall. His eyes were covered by circular shades, giving him a darker appearance than normal with his blue long-sleeve shirt. The noise around him was beginning to become focused in his ear as different conversations became clear to him. A boy flirting with his girlfriend. A mother running after her child. A group of junior high students being loud and obnoxious. All of these sounds just made Zuhal more irked than before.

"I hate the mall."

Del popped out of his Hunter VG, sticking his nose right into Zuhal's face as he spoke. The EM dolphin seemed to bubble life from every pore of his body. "C'mon. You know you HAVE to learn somehow. This place seems cool and exciting too!" Zuhal sighed, tilting his glance to the side. Apparantly Del had never been inside of a mall before.

"We're only here because its safe and simple. Its a nice place for us to learn to work together on a day by day basis. As much as I hate this place, its a necessary evil."

It was true. The mall served as a nice narrow route for both Zuhal and Del to walk through, and the people would serve as obstacles for them to navigate through. Zuhal needed to learn how to follow Del's tug on his Hunter VG, and Del needed to learn how to direct Zuhal in everyday situations. Such 'training' was necessary in order to give sight for the blind.

"Lets get this over with."

"Gotcha!"

Del jumped back into Zuhal's Hunter VG and immediately began to drag Zuhal around by his arm. Zuhal had little option but to trust Del and follow, the duo plunging into the crowd of people. They'd bump into several people, slowly learning to work with each other. Zuhal only hoped that they didn't bump into the wrong person.

Stanley itched the side of his neck as he slowly made his way out of the suit-tailors. He looked at his Hunter-VG as the screen lit up, and so did the wizard inside. Although Stanley wasn't THAT rich, he liked to show it, with his diamond-studded Hunter-VG. Monoceros yawned as he looked up towards Stanley's face, and the conversation began!

"If it isn't Stan the Man! How's Spica Mall going? Got that suit yet"?

Monoceros always had a way of words, and liked to draw his conversations to the more exciting and lively side, in contrast to the boring conversations that half of the mall would be having at the current time. His white plated armor shone, even through a digital screen and his shining blue eyes weren't discrete either.

"Come on, what have I told you, it's Stanley! Anyways, no luck with the suits, but I did see a few stunning ladies in there."

Stanley suddenly bumped into the black-haired man, with odd stripes by his ears. The bump was not hard, but was a bit tougher then the other shoves and pushes, and would cause them to be forced back quite a bit. Stanley rubbed his shoulders, before replying with a "customer smile".

"I'm sorry about that!"

After a few seconds of just staring at each other, he gained a few points about this man, and what he wears. He noticed the shape on the man's top, it was a upside down triangle, and he also had a closer look at the odd horizontal lines on the positions of the man's ears. He stared into the man's sunglasses, waiting a reply, hopefully a friendly one.

Long Live The Emperor

Just another day gathering information on everyone else's lives. Just another day of spying and eavesdropping for the sake of doing so. Just another day of fighting back against the man in the mirror- What would incite worry in a person without a reflection? As could be assumed from the listed agenda, the particular man who had decided to run through his routines at Spica Mall was none other than Dhüm Hailson himself, in all of his transparent glory, no pun intended, but still there for consideration (regardless of whether or not it was funny).

He had dismissed Seraphus to flit along and spend her time doing what she usually did in an urban area such as the one he now roamed in. He would never actually figure out what she did during these ours- As long as she returned, always the same, then he had no need to waste time inquiring or wondering. This particular day, amongst all others, it was by pure chance that he stumbled headlong into the two slightly older-looking men who had they themselves managed to collide in a force whose full effects, with just the two, would never be known.

He had been in pursuit of a frantic, mail-carrying Denpa-kun that had bowled him over and knocked him into the streets below, it's large body sending him hurling, mercifully, onto a patch of unoccupied ground, and hurting all the more for it. However, this particular spot held two advantages- No one would ask why an invisible man had fallen from the heavens (barely five meters, really), and his line-of-sight to the mail carrier was unobstructed, naught else but immature vengeance on his mind.

Although he wouldn't have been able to to watch in both directions at once anyways, a second, functional eye always helped when and where wider peripheral vision was important- Like avoiding crowds in a crowded mall, specifically those who wouldn't be wary of invisible, but all too tangible, men running full tilt in pursuit of otherwise--also--invisible beings traveling down a Wave Road a lofty height above the rest of the good people. And so, it was inevitable.

Even as Zuhal and Stanley closed in for contact, or possibly during the exact instance it happened, an unseen force from their respective left and right would be unable to stop itself and send the lot of them careening into the locked doors of a thankfully closed china shop, and even if by some trickery a fourth power managed to intervene in time to prevent the coincidental chaos, Dhuum's trigger finger managed to snag itself just under the bridge of Zuhal's glasses, the weapon itself barely missing the man's face.

Though his visual presence was concealed, the inclusion of a poltergeist would probably seem too far fetched for some. Another inconvenience- He was invisible to all, but had found a 'batty' acquaintance could easily glimpse him with echolocation or the less advanced sonar. And so, an otherwise uneventful day would soon lead to a multitude of questions, the most prominent among them likely being "What the hell just happened?"

Zuhal had bumped into many people, his left shoulder becoming sore from all of the blind encounters throughout the mall. Del helped give him a generally direction and did help major collisions with a nice tug in the opposite direction, but it wasn't enough to completely get through without contact with quite a few individuals. His newly stitched shoulder was starting to take more abuse than it needed, but Zuhal wasn't about to wait for his injury to fully heal before moving on.

Del had led him almost halfway through the mall with his Hunter VG, avoiding any big bumps or collisions so far. The small collisions with one certain individual had caused him to stop, hitting Zuhal in just the right spot on his shoulder. He flinched as pain shot through his shoulder, although he didn't dare to rub or hold his wound.

Tch! There goes some of my stitches.

Zuhal wanted to keep walking and ignore the stranger, but Del wasn't pulling or tugging on his arm. He knew that his over friendly AMian wanted Zuhal to stay there for a bit before moving on, which wasn't Zuhal's ideal situation for this trip to the mall. He gave a polite nod before saying a quick "Its fine," looking to the ground as he did. The man's gaze seemed to bury itself into Zuhal, as if he was staring through his eyes into his very being. It wasn't anything bad or creepy, but Zuhal could tell that he was being carefully observed. He would rather not let everyone know he was blind, so walking away seemed like the best choice of action, with or without Del's guidance.

"Zuhal!"

Just as Zuhal was about to walk away, Del forced his arm backwards to send him stumbling away from the other gentleman. Zuhal almost fell over from the sudden jerk on his arm, but he was luckily able to stumble back out of the way of whatever was around them. Del forced Zuhal's body to turn to the right, facing the general direction of where the invisible angel stood. The cripple had no idea what was going on around him and was hardly to the point where he could hone his other senses to compensate for his sight. Del's higher pitch energetic voice spoke to explain what was going on, although his train of thought and explanation wasn't that effective.

"There's a Wave Being over there!! And there's something else too that tried to run into us! That angel guy just shot at it!"

"Angel guy?" Was Del talking about Holy Seraph? Here? So many questions ran through his mind, but the one Zuhal chose to speak was "Who are you?"

Stanley stood there for about four to five seconds; just analysing Zuhal and his movements, his shirt, wondering what that symbol was. Monoceros was too thinking about the wizard that Zuhal must be carrying, since he had a Hunter VG. There's something strange about this human! thought the Unicorn-like wizard, watching closely from the machine, glowing on Stanley's arm.

"It's fine."

Stanley raised his brow as he heard the extremely short reply. This man was interesting, but the words that came out of him were not. He looked to his sunglasses, wondering why he was wearing them indoors. Although the collision was pretty terrible, the padded shoulders of Stanley's bomber jacket saved him from any harm.

Stanley, pretty bored from the conversation was suddenly pushed into the locked doors of the china shop, and dropped to his butt as he rubbed his head, looking around the mall, and then looking to Zuhal standing a few inches away from where he originally was, facing an awkward left. Stanley rubbed his jawline as the collision with the door was fast, but awkwardly painful.

Stanley stood up, and looked to his Hunter-VG and Monoceros was too concerned with the situation that the two were currently in. Stanley looked to Monoceros, almost questioning him for an answer about this moment that just happened. How he was uncontrollably forced into the locked door of the china shop. Stanley needed answers, and he needed them fast.

"Stanley, we might need to wave convert, see if this thing was a wave form, or we can ask the sunglasses-guy what just happened, he seems to be related to it!"

Stanley nodded to his Hunter-VG as he walked over to Zuhal hearing "Who are you?" This invisible being must have known Zuhal, or Zuhal must have seen the being in one way, shape or form. He stood next to Zuhal with a concerned look on his face, but broke into a grin, and he wanted to find the answer to this serious problem, and why he was thrown into a locked door, thankfully it was locked, there could have been a serious accident, with injuries involved.

"Yes, who are you? You don't seem like a very nice being."

Stanley said as he stood next to Zuhal, rubbing his head from the thud with the doors. Stanley decided to fold his arms, and Monoceros too was watching the situation and waiting for the being to reveal himself to Zuhal and Stanley. Monoceros was also preparing himself for a Wave Conversion if the being is some-what, disturbing and may harm the people around him or even worse, Stanley.

Long Live The Emperor
In those precious few milliseconds before he was to be publicly humiliated, Dhüm had loosed a single shot that snaked through the air, a ray of streaking light that, at its head, was impossible to look at. However, the two meter-long trail revealed each twist and turn as it made its way to the Denpa-kun, which, as it so happened, had been forced to wait as others trafficked along at an intersection. It was at this moment, as Dhüm had tumbled into heavy double doors, that the bullet struck, knocking the the Mail Hertz off the Wave Road to land on its back, again, some five meters below, a loud "Whumpf" and a completely tactile shudder passing through along the ground as it made contact.

In the next moment, Dhuum, revealed entirely after discharging the 'Light Banisher', found himself rubbing his head with the knuckles of the hand gripped tight 'round his weapon--which was, of course, still invisible--looking up at the two men as he sat, his back leaning against the unharmed doors of the store. He raised his other hand in a short wave, a gesture that could be easily perceived as "I'm fine, thanks for asking, you worry too much."

He winced as he slowly stood, leaning against a pillar as he put his weight onto his left leg and heaved himself up. Even as he opened his mouth to explain himself, and gingerly fixed his feet into a decent stance, his hands were shoved down into his pockets. His hair fell back over the empty eye socket, and the row of fangs around his neck unhooked itself from the flesh of his neck. Far off, Sera had sensed the change, but though naught of it- He generally came to her.

His shoulder ached now and the opposite leg felt twisted- But of course, being who he was, that wasn't going to stop him. His good arm laid across his abdomen as he bowed deeply, he pronounced in a clear, somewhat mocking tone, "I am but an apprentice to a disgraced mercenary, and besides that, none other than your own Dhüm," he added, "I think it's your turn now."

He nodded to Zuhal first, then glanced over at Matthew. His opening statement to them would surely set their first impressions of him awkwardly, something he loved. The reference to a 'friend' wouldn't be caught by anyone anyways- Though the younger of the two seemed like someone he should know.

Zuhal was still on edge, not fully aware of what exactly was going on. Were they still in danger? Were they even in danger at all? Del was the one who was interpreting the situation for Zuhal, being unable to see or understand his surroundings himself. If Del wasn't still worried or forcing the Hunter VG into the air, then things should be alright for the moment.

Nevertheless, Zuhal was weary of whoever it was that had introduced himself. His voice was hardly like Fayt's, although there was a subtle resemblance that Zuhal couldn't exactly pick out. Whoever this "Doom" was might have resembled Holy Seraph in his Wave State, but it was obvious at this point that he wasn't who Zuhal thought he might have been.

The man whom he had bumped into seemed to subtly side with Zuhal, which would be good if things went south for one reason or another. The man had been surprisingly friendly, despite the fact that it was Zuhal who ran into him. These characters around him were certainly a little more special than most of the boring pedestrians who wandered the mall.

"Zuhal," he answered, giving the bare minimum of whatever this guy was asking. Zuhal was mainly just relieved that Fayt hadn't decided to come kill him after their little encounter. The boy had changed alot since the first time they had met, so Zuhal no longer knew what to expect from Fayt. Del picked up where Zuhal left off, being both the eyes and social representative of the duo.

"What d'ya think you're doing?!" Del was actually more off guard than Zuhal was. "Ya coulda hit us! Ya want to try something a LITTLE safer next time ya shoot that thing at people?"

The character's motives and actions were still confusing to both Zuhal and Del. There would need to be some explanation before they could make sense of what exactly had happened, or who exactly the man before them was.

Stanley looked to his Hunter-VG, looking to Monoceros for some answers, but all Monoceros could do was shake his head indefinitely. Stanley rubbed his cap, his brown hair almost flowing out of it. He looked around, trying to identify this being, but for those few little moments, it was almost silent in Stanley's world.

The being finally decided to reveal himself, much to Stanley's concerns. Who is this Doom? What does he want? And why did he nearly shoot us! So many questions.. I must answer them. Stanley cocked his brow at the sight of Doom, and he was hesitant to give his own name to the mysterious stranger in front of him.

"Zuhal."

Stanley turned his head to Zuhal and was shocked to see that he gave his name up so quickly. He then decided to give his name too. "Stanley." Although Stanley was on the edge, and was very hesitant in giving out his name, he was still curious as to what this being was doing in Spica Mall.

He turned his head to Zuhal's wizard just verbally attack the being, but he could see why, the being nearly shot Zuhal's head off. Stanley put his hands on his hips and sighed, rubbing his cap. He looked to Monoceros and nodded, Monoceros was attempting to find information on this Doom. Monoceros shook his head; and simply shrugged.

"What were you doing here in Spica Mall?"

     "Eh?"

His mind whirring to figure out why island boy should have been familiar to him, Dhüm turned to Matthew with a look of indignant contempt, a glance that was not lost on the invisible patch not far from Zuhal, being his best guess of where the obnoxious voice had originated from. He brushed himself off, the café wall pattern of his hoodie seeming to ripple as it was straightened. "What anyone here wants to do is their business alone," he added with a slight wink of his only eye, "but of course, seeing as you asked nicely, I'll admit to not doing anything here at all. I had no plans for the day, so the default kicked in--hanging 'round the Wave Roads--and I just let my body take me here while my mind wandered its own way."

He glanced at Zuhal again, but even as his head turned, the earpiece mounted on his, well, ear expanded into its full form- a semi-transparent, square monocle, the lens emerald green in color. It was only then that things seemed to fall into the correct place. His eye widened slightly as he finally realised who he was looking at. Zuhal. Inverted triangle. The delphinoid. "You're Akybi, Zuhal. First Brother of one Fujiyoshi, Kai. Am I right? I'm right aren't I? Damn... I though that with a name like that I'd be looking forever- Who knew I'd--literally--run into you- if it IS you.

He no longer registered Matthew as present, his long forgotten task quickly surfacing from the depths of his mind. He was almost giddy. "I'd never imagined I'd find a guy who barely anyone had noticed before--no offense--much less with a crappy description. 'Dolphin boy' didn't really register 'till I saw the actual dolphin, and yet still- It's like sight for the blind," and with that ironic comment, his face hardened back into a mask as his thoughts returned to reality. "I've found you, I think. But Mr. Mercenary has gone missing...if you still remember him."

A confused look quickly grew on Zuhal's face as Dhuum spoke. He was baffled. Was this man really looking for him? Why him? Why Zuhal of all people? There was nothing special about the overgrown youth, other than the fact that he had recently lost his sight. Del was an AMian, sure, but they were starting to become more and more common around earth. Other than Del and his blindness, the only thing noteworthy of Zuhal was the fact that he was a lower class Satella Officer. What could anyone possibly want from him? None of this was sounding good.

"What d'ya want from us?" Del kept his surprised tone, trying to attack Dhuum with his words. The dolphin remained at his partner's side, being visible for all to see. "Are ya tryin' to kill us or something? I bet you are huh? I'll take ya down if ya lay a finger on Zuhal!" Del's over exuberance to protect Zuhal was becoming apparent in his growing arrogant tone. Del didn't let the challenge fester for long before asking yet another question. "And whose this Mr. Mercades you're talkin' about? Some kind of killer?"

Zuhal seemed to catch on to what the man was saying. "You're talking about Kai, aren't you?" He raised his guard at the thought of his Brother. It was strange that he had gone missing, but that served as almost a sort of relief for Zuhal. Hearing anything about or related to his Brothers got him worried, Kai and Uxyl being the only two people he's really bonded with since meeting Del. He didn't want anyone to know of his blindness, and the thought of his Brothers finding out served almost as a knife into his stomach. He didn't know how they'd take the news, and he didn't plan on taking a chance with letting them know. Better for no one to know than to be treated as a lesser person, even if they were his Brothers.

Zuhal swallowed, raising his voice slightly as he spoke. "What happened to him? How do you even know him?" Dhuum's answers were only creating more questions that fluttered around Zuhal's mind. This situation didn't seem to be getting any better for him.

OOC: Character's name is Stanley, not Matthew. :'(

Stanley frowned as he watched the being completely ignore him, except from his speech. His face was bright red, but cooled off after about 3 seconds. He simply tucked his hands into his pockets; watching and listening to the conversation very closely. He rubbed the fur inside and around the collar of his jacket, coughing, attempting to get some attention of any kind or sort.

Monoceros was also sitting there, bored inside the device strapped onto Stanley's arm. The Hunter-VG glistened, but Monoceros was dull in that moment of time. He looked up towards Stanley and yawned sympathetically, almost asking if they can leave this conversation. Stanley knew things were about to get interesting. He put his index finger up to Monoceros, indicating him to stop.

"Hey, Stan can we leave these two? They're a bit boring."

Monoceros was always quiet with his words, fortunately for Stanley, it would have only been heard by himself, but he still indicated with his index finger for Monoceros to quiet down, and almost whisper. Moncoeros nodded his head, and began to talk again, this time with an almost-silent tone to his voice.

"Things had better get interesting.."

     "Things had better get interesting.."

"They are just about to, yes..."

The voice was honeyed ice, and it seemed to crash around Dhuum's ears as a familiar touch bit into the exposed flesh of his arm, sending a wave of rising goosebumps across his skin. Not you! he though, and Not me? the voice answered, but in his head alone. From a shadow of nothingness a young woman had appeared, thin, lithe, and nearly as tall as Dhuum himself. The crackle of Noise indicated that she had just left a Wave Changed state, and a shadow flitted from her back into the slim Hunter-VG mounted on her wrist.

Her arm was draped across his shoulder as he winced in pained humiliation. He had been about to answer. To tell him, Zuhal, of his, of their predicament. And then SHE had barged in. She had- "Oh shush. You know that I know what you're thinking, and you're always going on and on and on telling me to stop reading you like a book. So for once, 'doom', stop thinking already!

On and on? I met you not two days ago! When you-

     Beat you with graceful ease?

Dhuum shrugged her off and stepped away from the three. He looked at Zuhal for a bit, a light blinking on his eyepiece as it recorded as much as it could of the man, saving the results and then sending ample contact information to the shady (Heh- You're lame.) guy in return.

"Ack. Well, this changes things... Especially with...her...here." The girl shot Dhuum a look and he visibly cringed. "But Zuhal... I think it's safe to say that it'd be best if we could all hold a decent opinion of one another. Besides," he winked at Del to nab his attention, and then pulled aside the hair covering his other eye. Which, naturally, wasn't there. "We already have a common point to start a conversation, eh?"

"Well. This is getting boring. Not much to do, not much to say... With my sudden appearance, I'm guessing you boys would like an introduction, or even better, explanation, right? We," she said, motioning to Dhuum, "are kinda bad about little things like, ya know, etiquette, but...

"I am Aoife Carey, but I guess you can call me Eve. It's a pleasure to meet you. And Dhuum?"

     "What?"

     "I already know."

Zuhal's Hunter VG beeped as it received Dhuum's contact information. He ignored it though, keeping his attention ahead of him and at the sounds that these individuals were making. The fellow he had run into seemed to be losing his attention to the situation, although Zuhal's focus had only been on him for a little bit before the introduction of yet another new character grabbed his attention. Zuhal could only take in the voices around him and assume. It was difficult to tell if Eve was a person or an EM Being, but Zuhal did what he could to process his surroundings.

Del gave Dhuum a confused look as he showed off his glassy eye. Apparently, he too had a problem with his vision, much like Zuhal. Del knew his partner couldn't see, so he did what he thought was best to help Zuhal process what was going on: state the obvious.

"Huh? What happened to your eye? Did your girlfriend rip it out or somethin'?" Del was still trying to put on his tough attitude, being overprotective against what he still assumed was a threat. Zuhal was still on edge too, but things weren't adding up. If Dhuum had come on bad terms, why where they even having this conversation now? Why hadn't he continued to go on the attack? From what Del and Dhuum had said, he had known that Zuhal couldn't see. More importantly, he knew something about Kai that Zuhal didn't. He hadn't heard from either of his Brothers ever since he disappeared. Had Kai gotten himself into more trouble?

Zuhal lowered his guard a little before asking yet another question and expecting yet another deflect. "Why did you come here for me? If its to meet new people, then I'm sorry to disappoint you. I'm only interested if you have something to tell me about Kai."

Stanley rubbed his brow, waiting for something interesting to happen, the usual in his life of boredom. Although he hated just standing there, he knew there was something strange about these characters, and this scene happening in Spica Mall. This 'Doom' character was someone he could interact with, and someone he should be afraid of, but wasn't. Just as he was to leave the scene, Stanley heard the soft feminine voice.

He blinked, and immediately sent his eyes to the female's breasts and buttocks parts of the body. He was, sort of happy with what he found. He rubbed his brow a little, and wondered where this witty female acquaintance of 'Doom' had come from. He took off his cap, running his hand through his medium-length chocolate brown hair, he slipped his cap back on, letting his hair slightly flow out of the cap.

"Stanley W. Stone."

Stanley looked at his Hunter-VG, attempting to get information on this "Kai", this "Dhuum" and now this "Aoife Carey", Monoceros was getting a head-ache from learning this names! Monoceros was screaming, inside his little wizard-head. Stanley watched as Zuhal asked about the man, Kai, it seemed like Zuhal was close to this "Kai". He blinked slowly, almost falling asleep, standing.

Dhuum's eye twitched. With her sudden appearance, the hastily made but seamless plans and ideas within his head had rapidly unraveled. It was all her fault. His ideals were being defenestrated. His normally cool resolve had been instantly shattered, but in the end, it was partway his own fault, was it not? He had let his guard down. It wasn't her fault that he ended up coming off seeming like a dork. She was better tha- "Get out of my head!" he muttered in anger, and he continued to fume as she simply winked at him, the spark in her eyes quickly subdued as a mischievous smile stretched her lips. "And she's not my girlfriend, sharkbait."

He squeezed the bridge of his nose with his them and index finger. This was going to be a very long day.

*~*~*

"Since the cyclops seems to be shorting out, I guess I'll say what he wanted to, needed to tell you," Eve said, turning to Zuhal as her smile widened as Dhuum's eyes did the same. "The last he's heard of Kai was in a police report, and wouldn't you know it, he was a cop and a crook. He used to be a hitman for hire or something, but then he had switched to the force. Up until he, well, demolished Yaeba Resort," she continued, her eyes twinkling as if in admiration.

"It gets better. From what I can pick out from my boyfriend's sizzling brain, one, he thinks I'm making it sound worse than it really is, and two, nothing more was made easily accessible to the public. Actually... I wonder how he got the first report...

     "Stanley W. Stone"

A quick blink as her mind registered the person previously silent but still there, her expression changed slightly. "Oh, hey there Stanley!" she gushed, with far too much enthusiasm. Most would probably be able to discern it as mocking sarcasm. Others would want to call it flirting, but it didn't honestly matter, for now she wondered aloud, "And who, in your own thoughts and words, are you then?" The question was directed to Zuhal.

     "Why are you here?"

She turned back to Dhuum once more, to find him glaring at her with thinly veiled hatred. And her smile only grew wider, and finally, she laughed. It was a beautiful sound, and even the angry man's face faltered as it reached his ears. It only made him angrier. "Cool it, hothead! Actually..." she giggled as her finger tapped a single button on her Hunter-VG, and Dhuum nearly fainted then.

A massive spider. Aoife's Wizard had eight legs, each at least four meters long. The abdomen was about a meter wide, three meters long, and the cephalothorax was similar in size and shape. It towered above them all, each leg like the bar of a cage surrounding them. Its fangs clicked and its palps twitched. "Say hi Loxy!"

     And then Dhuum fainted.

Zuhal was in unsurprised shock. He was shocked that Yaeba Resort had been demolished, but he wasn't surprised that Kai was the one to do it. His Brother wasn't that bad of a guy, but going outside of the long arm of the law seemed reasonable for Kai to do. He had destroyed an entire complex, sure, but Zuhal knew of the kind of power that Kai had. Such a feat seemed within his Brother's doing.

Unable to stare forward from the information, Zuhal slightly moved his head a few times, unsure of the reaction to give. He believed the bit of Kai destroying Yaeba Resort, oddly enough, but the bit about him becoming a Satella Office seemed far-fetched. Who joins the GSP and then destroys one of the most popular resorts around? "Del, check the GSP database and see if you can confirm that what she's saying is true."

On command, Del gave a quick "Gotcha!" and ran straight back into his Hunter VG. Zuhal did rely on Del for most of his interactions, especially now, but the young adult figured he could handle something as simple as a conversation without the need to see his surroundings. Or so he thought.

Zuhal could hear the whiz of Matter Waves forming, a sound decently subtle in itself but recognizable, much like the high whine of a TV when you turn it on. Apparently either Eve or Dhuum had activated their Wizard, although he was unsure of which one. What was more confusing was that he heard the flop of a body hitting the floor, but it didn't come from where the female voice had spoke. Had Dhuum really passed out? Did the Wizard knock him unconscious or something? He hadn't heard a thump or anything related to it, so did that mean he just fell over at the sight of a Wizard? Zuhal was unsure of what to think of the one-eyed man, but it seemed as if Eve had a large influence over him.

With Dhuum passed out, Zuhal raised his awareness. Eve seemed to be bad news, and he was really hoping that she hadn't come looking for a fight. Zuhal decided to try to keep the conversation going, hoping that this encounter would just be an exchange in words as opposed to an exchange in fists.

"I'm Zuhal Akybi," he repeated, answering Eve's question with a lack of direction. "Brother of Kai Fujiyoshi and a Satella Police Officer. Do you know where Kai is at? If he's in trouble or getting himself into it, I deserve to know as a Brother and as an Officer." Zuhal wasn't going to play games with this woman. Things would end alot smoother if he got the information he asked for and went about his way. Overstaying his welcome could be a bad idea, but Zuhal didn't know at this point.

This was all too much for the diamond-encrusted wave-warrior by night, Stanley. He rubbed his forehead, obviously distressed with all the information rushing through his senseless brain. The amount of thought that was going through the mind of Stanley was almost unbearable, the questions he needed answers to; the list was endless. He nodded as the woman replied to him.

Stanley watched as the abnormally large spider come out of the Hunter-VG. He didn't know where to run, or go along with the flow. He stood there, looking to his Hunter-VG, Monoceros was looking up to Stanley with a cheeky grin. Monoceros knew Stanley's fear of small insects, Stanley hated insects that were small, there were too many disgusting facts about the smaller ones, which forced him to stay calm around larger insects like the wizard before him. Stanley wasn't going to look up at the fangs, they were the worst part.

"Aren't you gonna' introduce me to your lady-friend, Stan?!"

Stanley shook his head frantically at the little unicorn as it uncontrollably leaped out of the Hunter-VG, although the Unicorn was slightly smaller then the Spider, it widened it's eyes in awe and surprise. Monoceros' diamond skin was glimmering in the light of the Mall, the lights reflected beautifully. Stanley released a sigh as he introduced his quirky little wizard.

"Meet Monoceros."

Long Live The Emperor
"Out like a snuffed soul," Eve muttered, an amused look flitting across her face as she knelt besides Dhuum and carefully propped him up into a sitting position, his back leaning against the wall as he lay impassive and slowly stirring. Her gaze lingered upon the young man's face for a bit, and she forced herself to pull away and stand back up after a single moment had passed. Dhuum's thoughts continued to float around his being even as he lay unconscious, but she casually tuned out of them, allowing the silence of her own mind to take over.

Her arms crossed over her stomach, she hugged herself even as her Wizard stepped away from the group and crouched low, bringing its eyes level with her own. Loxy's fangs clicked twice in question, her palps rustling as she shifted her weight, and Eve smiled and extended a hand to stroke the great creature's head between her center and right pairs of eyes.

She let the man's question hang in the air for a while longer, her eyes gazing upward to the glass windows obscuring the sky as she thought for a moment. The sudden refracting of light caused her to flinch as Monoceros appeared, and she rolled her eyes as she dismissed the both of them with a slight wave of her arm. Stealing another glance at Dhuum to reassure herself, she allowed her eyes to settle upon Zuhal.

"Zuhal... Akybi..." she reiterated slowly, trying the name out herself and then setting against the various memories she had managed to transpose from Dhuum to her own mind. Next to nothing came up. "I'm sorry... I, quite literally, don't know anything more about him than what's already been said. But...if you are one of the GSP, couldn't you check yourself? I could probably find something by myself if I had time... But I really only came here today to find Dhuum, and I was fortunate he himself knew something about it all. Honestly, this whole business is new to me..."

She tried to look past Zuhal's glasses, and was more or less surprised to find little there. No recognition, no observation. Dhuum's words floated back to the surface of her mind. Taking a tentative step forward, she reached out to touch the lens of the spectacles. "You are...blind." It wasn't a question.

Zuhal crossed his arms in response to Eve's answer. Apparently neither Dhuum nor Eve knew what was going on with Kai. Maybe Del could find something, or they could send him an email later, although neither would probably give positive results. If Dhuum was coming to Zuhal to help find Kai, then the obvious answers were out.

As Eve reached for Zuhal's glasses, Zuhal's right arm came up to whack Eve's hand away before she could touch them. The arm seemed to move unnaturally fast, since it was moved by unnatural means. It seemed that Del was done looking, and wasn't too happy. "HEY! Keep your hands to yourself, ya hear me?!" His tone was as defensive as it was before, the dolphin still wanting to put on a tough appearance.

Zuhal winced from both Del's outburst and from Eve's recognition of his blindness. He didn't want people knowing that he couldn't see, which was why he wore sunglasses in the first place. Was it still that obvious that he couldn't see, even though he was just standing there? Either way, Zuhal was not happy that the truth had come out. Still, he tried to play it off, hoping he could still convince both Eve and Stan that he could see.

"Lay off. If you want to touch someone, go touch him, or your boyfriend, or someone else. I could care less if you ARE attractive." The last sentence, of course, was a total guess.

Long Live The Emperor
BANG!

The ancient sound tore throughout the mall, and it gave no small amusement to Dhuum to find that very many were completely unfamiliar with the noise. He himself loved it. The young man was struggling to stay standing, but his stance alone defied his mind's petty fear. His eyes were dead set on Zuhal, wild and angry, an antique revolver held steady in his arm, as if, amongst the rest of his shivering body, it alone had been cast in bronze. The round had torn through the air past the older man's head, sending a shriek into all of their ears as it impact itself into a solid wall far off. His voice was shaky at first, but Dhuum's resolve quickly solidified back into the brick wall it was before.

"Don't you...don't you dare touch her! Sure you can pass yourself off as just another person, but if I could tell that your eyes were as good as seeing as your toes, then she sure as hell isn't making shit up! You'll never meet anyone so damned perceptive, and if she only wanted a closer look, what it's to ya, eh? You daft, mate? She wasn't coming on to ya, she was going to offer help!

"Pummeled me into the dirt when we met and then fixed me up then and there. And I owe her for it, ya? I was cocky, arrogant, and thought my life sucked because, why? I'd lost an eye? So what? She wanted to fix it too, but I wouldn't let her. I've gotten used to it, and it goes further back then she did. But clearly you're still in denial, mate. Pitying yourself like a goddamned fool! You think it's better if you hide it? I don't necessarily flaunt this extra hole in my head, but if I let it beat me, then what's the damn point?

"Drowning yourself in your sorrows seem fun to you, Akybi? I know and believe that you could help me in finding and old friend, but first things first, you and your pet have issues that you need to work out! I used to be the nobody that just happened to be there, but now it's all an act. Keeps me sane. I won't admit I understand how bad off you think you are and how bad off you really are, but here's the deal: If you let this keep beating you down, how d'you think you'll ever manage to get back up, eh?

"It feels like a coincidence, ya, us all bumping into each other. Stanley here hasn't got much of a word in himself, but he's kept on being himself. You want to know why it was so damned difficult for me to recognize you, Akybi? Our old pal Kai told me that you were the best kind of average guy out there. But now look at you. Letting your partner pull you around. Freaking out over nothing. I don't know you very well, in fact, I don't know you at all. But a first impression's the most important, and frankly, I'm disappointed.

"You can take this all as insult or you can take it as a lesson. But either way, plaster it into your head. It really is rule number one. You don't ever hit a girl," he finished with a wink, before turning over to Eve, back to his old self now, but without mentioning to anyone that he'd rather have "Loxy" somewhere else. Preferably many kilometers away. Dhuum was surprised to find Eve staring at him, her mouth agape. The moment had passed and coming out with his speech had left him somewhat lighter-headed and dazed.

He stumbled forward, his weapon disappearing into a pocket as he did so. He feebly raised an arm to catch himself but found that he was being held up by the same girl who had managed to shatter many of the bones in his limbs the previous day or so. Being just another guy, regardless of physical and mental state, he found himself wondering what he'd just managed to do right or wrong. It seemed life was full of confusing surprises. And it was true, especially when he caught sight of Monoceros.

"Holy...hell..."

And then he was out of it again.
