1. When and how was the Chaos element introduced? Who was the person who developed the idea?
The Chaos Element was introduced in a Fall plot around 2008 in a topic that was made on November 12, 2008, by the member "Good Ol' Berserk." The Chaos element started as a element that would only be handed out to members who participated in the Plot line, and then evolved to be an element others have access too. During the Event, Warriors would fight in the areas that the Chaos Waves thrived in, the Chaos waves connected to the Warriors as they become more attuned to them. This gave them the ability to control it, and then use it in combat.



2. How were OOPArts first introduced, and when did Tribe Ons get integrated into the battle system?
The OOPArts were first introduced as an Event where they were hidden throughout the RP world before the release of the actual game. Members were giving hints and clues as to where the OOParts could be found, and once they pieced the puzzle together, it led them to the parts. Once they got the part, they guarded it with their lives, as any members to defeat them in combat could steal the artifact away from them. At the end of the Event, any members with the OOPart still in their grasp would get a prize.
I do not know how and when they were first implemented into the Battle System, but I would say the were implemented around the same time they were first introduced, somewhere between 2008-2010.



3. List all of the site wide plots that have been carried out on SFRP. Give a brief explanation of each plot.

Quest: Find the OOPArts!: A Site-Wide plot devoted to giving the members a world-wide scavenger hunt. The OOPArts have been hidden around the world, and it is up for the members to decipher the given clues and locate, then protect, the OOPArts.

Rise of the Chaos Waves: A Site-Wide plot devoted to giving the members access to the Chaos Element. Participating Warriors were brought into direct contact of the Chaos Waves created by the Crimson Folder, Meteor G. Their bodies attuned to and became capable of using these powerful waves.

Concert: A Site-Wide plot devoted to giving the members access to Sonia Strumm's Valentine concert, and then the Concert goes up in flames. Quite literally.

NovaStar: I have no idea.




4. The move to V3 was a turning point in SFRP's history. What was the idea behind this new version of SFRP, why was it important, and how was it carried out by staff?

The V3 Turning point in SFRP's history introduced many new Transformations, Rules, Cards and overall needed updates to bring life back to the members. Due to my only just arrival to the board, I know little about how it was done.


5. SFRP merged with another site in its early days. Explain what the deal was between SFRP and this other site. Be specific with usernames.



6. Describe the old Mission Board and explain why it was removed.

The old Mission Board was used as a way for members to get missions set up by the site and then carry them out with their warriors. I would guess it was removed by either popular demand, over use of the system or abuse of the system.



7. RWZ made his own version of jobs in the V2 era. Explain what these jobs were and how you joined them.



8. Describe how the current numerical damage scale was created and why.

The current numerical damage scale was created as a means for members to understand how much damage they would take from listed attacks. It was most likely created by taking percentages of damage from the game and then scrapping them out to how much of your health that amount of damage took out of you.



9. List the different mechanics found in the Star Force games that have NEVER been used at SFRP.

Whenever Megaman took damage from attacks that made him flinch, or would have made him flinch, it also made him turn intangible, unaffected by attacks for a short amount of time.

Transformation into a separate form, such as Tribe On or Star Break, opted for a time freeze that prevented enemies from attacking Megaman or moving from their area.

The use of certain cards opted for a time freeze that prevented enemies from moving from their current location or attacking Megaman.

Megaman's custom screen reloaded every few seconds. You had unlimited actions during your game play, but could only select a few cards that had something in common with their availability. It was also open-ended Battle, while ours is turn base.





10. Explain the purpose of the Hunter VG registration and the process associated with it.
The purpose of the Hunter VG Registration was used to ensure what character you were using throughout the Thread, listing the Character's Name, age, Wizard(s), Wave Conversion and a Tutorial Battle.

The Chaos element was introduced in 2008; the first user, was Lastdesire who integrated Chaos to create Chaos Exa. Chaos was originally developed to finish the Holy Trinity, which replaced the old Light-and-Dark-are-weak-vs-each other system. Chaos was originally proposed by Beserk.

OOParts were first introduced as a staff plot; Tribe Ons were added in late 2007 in the style of the Admin Cards, allowing the user to change the charge shot and primary element while in battle.

We got our own chat box back, after having to borrow EXE's Chatbox.

RP Roulette has come to SFRP.

The Back Ally had an OP card at the cost of 1500z, which was quickly edited and removed.

We got area descriptions updates.

We affiliated with EXERPG, and changed our Domain name to what it is now.

We merged with Rysoiu no Rockman, and the deal was we basically ate their board. Their staff became our staff. RandomWarriorZero was one of the new staff here. The deal was: AMZ has offered to merge sites, with ours being the base site, they will however bring along their member base and some staff to help along with this board...We will hopefully be keeping our staff..." - Acora


6. Describe the old Mission Board and explain why it was removed.
The mission board was like a Kick starter for hiring mercs to take down fellow players; removed due to it's negative effect on play activity.
The mission board had various missions for players to complete; from killing Sonic to chasing after a master thief, these were like the plots of the V2 era. Removed due to too much stress during the restructuring.

7. RWZ made his own version of jobs in the V2 era. Explain what these jobs were and how you joined them.
Missions Board and Bounties Board. You would have to do 10 in one level to take on ones on the next. Ranged from killing someone, teaching someone the ropes or delivering groceries.

8. Describe how the current numerical damage scale was created and why.
The current damage scale was created by Omega so people wouldn't godmod and also to give people a real sense of damage.

9. Why were Aspects included within Mega card descriptions?

Mega Cards also have what are called Aspects. Aspects allow you to use the abilities of an NPC rather than summon one for you to use. Aspect abilities are slightly different from the Summon abilities, allowing for more RP flexibility. When using the Aspect your character will perform the attack them-self in some manor rather than summoning the NPC. You have the choice to either use the Summon ability or the Aspect ability of Mega cards, although you cannot use both. When choosing to summon, the NPC that is created is not harmed by attacks. All attacks simply phase through the NPC without negating or being affected. Whatever part of the NPC is attacking, however, can both block and hurt you on contact.


Omega thought that the summon part of the Mega Cards weren't fitting the game well, so the staff created Aspects to allow characters to perform an attack as an alternative to summoning a warrior. Still, the summoning threatens to bring down the 'Mega card class altogether from time to time.

10. Explain the purpose of the Hunter VG registration and the process associated with it.
To ensure that all knew how to operate, noobs had to do "emailing, posting on a message board and then do a tutorial battle".

BONUS: The Rules V2 was a collective work by several staff members. Who were the staff to finalize the rules V2, and what section did each of them write?

Omega took on the battle system, revamping it and adding the damage scale (he complained during a battle vs Silver in 2008 that the "damage scale was a CENSORED to make")

Beserk The man responsible for the various Elements and their abilities, Beserk was the man behind Chaos and the families.

The "Find the OOPArts!" plot. They were integrated through admin cards late into 2007, I think.

  • Quest: Find the OOPArts!- Basically it introduced the Tribe Ons while giving hints to the locations of each OOPArt. In other words it was a scavenger hunt.
  • Rise of the Chaos Waves- It introduced the Chaos Element. Participants came into contact with Chaos Waves created by Meteor G. Their bodies became capable of using these waves.
  • Concert- It was dedicated to giving members access to Sonia Strumm's Valentine concert, which went up in flames.
  • NovaStar- I don't know much about this one. There was the Battle Star plot in 2010 and the 2011 Wizard's tournament.

V3 included many new Transformations, Rules, Cards and overall necessary updates to breath new life into the members. I wouldn't know much since I arrived in V4.

Rysoiu no Rockman was the site. We took their board and their staff became our staff. RandomWarrriorZero was one of them.

In short you had to do 10 in each level before advancing to the next. It was removed because Last did them all in about 2 weeks.

Omega created this scale so that fighting would be fair and nobody would god mod.

Flinch intangibility, Time Freeze for transformations and certain cards, Galaxy Advances, and you had unlimited actions but had limitations in what cards you could use.

10. Explain the purpose of the Hunter VG registration and the process associated with it.

It determined your character in the thread as well as his/her name, age, gender (I think), wizard(s), Wave Conversion, and a tutorial battle

Acora, Berserk, Silver1327, Ryuu Sigma, Red Warrior Zero, Mike, and Omega. I don't know what each did though, but I'm sure the Bonus needs to be changed.

You grabbed the wrong question for Question 9 (which in-game systems were never used at SFRP), so I can't give you any points for that. I'm actually a little surprised you found the answers to some of those questions, especially since they were designed for staff to need to look through old staff discussions.

If you expand on some of your answers and dig around a little more you can get more points out of some of these questions. You only got partial credit on pretty much every question, but you at least did a little bit of research.

Overall, you guys did some digging (which was the point of this exercise), so despite technically not passing the test I'll count his as completed for both of you.
