If I can hurry, I can make for the exit. The guitar serenade was evidently having an effect, for his tormented foe, the hapless security guard, was out of the shop and on the run, seeming to head for the wave road. Crazy guy - the last person he had seen try that had slipped and shmucked his head.
Well, at least the guard was distracted. That would give him the time to scan the area and make an exit - mission accomplished, why stick around?
Huh. It looked like a civilian was on the way; it was time to exit before people really got hurt. Well, if his ally was going to handle the guard, he might just as well let it be a fair fight. Chaos Equal, GO!
A wave of fear washed over him as the card took effect, knocking all ability waves offline. And a good thing, it would prove too, because...
As he watched, the civvy had come closer. Close enough to change a panel, and it looked like he'd try to cut down Don Cossack. Two could play at that game.
The guitar dissolved and was replaced by a sword of his own, the incredibly underpowered ShadowBlade. His arm went up to intercept the incoming blade - if he could deflect it, he'd get a shot at stabbing his opponent while he was open.
He was so focused on countering his enemy that he didn't hear the meteors crash through the roof and continue downwards. He didn't notice them continue their descent towards him and his dueling opponent...
The worst thing to do when you thrust is to stay put. It's hit, then back up. Never stay close to your enemy, unless you subscribe to the theory that you should "keep your friends close and enemies closer". And thus, Cossack stepped backwards.
And that was when the meteors came down with a crash, splashing towards the ground near where Cossack had been a moment earlier.

Good Ol' Rikaru

Rikaru was caught off guard by the snipers quick counter as he left to go back after cossack, he had almost put enough distance between them, but the edge of the bombs radius indeed stopped him in his tracks. Dammit... turning the best he could he saw the sniper heading towards him with a sword of her own now. Funny, snipers usually hate melee weapons he thought.
He couldn't move well enough to avoid the stab, but he could whip his left arm around, aiming to trade blows at the least, as wisps of ash flew forth at Shikaku. The sword bit into his armor, and wasn't pleasent at all, but it freed him of the hold gravity had on him. He turned and fired another shell from his cannon at the fleeing Shikaku befor he continued his way off the wave road.

As Rik landed, a chilling sensation enveloped him, knocking out his few ability waves he had. He cursed at this, not knowing how it happened, never facing a power such at that before, but assuming one if the two here caused it. He was caught doubly by surprize as a seeming do gooder was jumping in to stop Cossack from getting away
He wasn't sure if he would enjoy the help... But as long as he didn't get in the way...CRASH!. The sound of the meteors tearing through the building towards Warrior caught his attention, causing him to look up and back. Luckily he was far enough away that he was in no immediate danger from the space rocks, but seeing the large stone idol appear over Warriors head, he considered an alternate method to help him evade the attack incase he was unable to do so.
Heads up. he said, a warning more about what he was about to do rather then the stone. He leveled his cannon at the wave warrior who wandered into this fiasco, and fired a shell, hoping he struck him to push him out of the way of danger if he needed the assistance. Almist immediately after, he moved his aim over to cossack as well, firing another round, he seemed a bit off to the left, but if he was lucky it might hit.
Giving his right arm a break, he moved forward until he was only toe meters away from cossack, his left arm surrounded in wispy ashes as he whiped it forward, the wisps extending out like tendrils to strike at his foe.
Things definately got complicated fast...he just hoped it would work out somehow...the shop keeper better have insurance or he will be mighty pissed about the mess that was his store now...

((What? Free hit on Cossack? ... Nah. Gotta reach 10 posts eventually @.@ -- plus I'd feel like a jerk for making you wait several days for this post, and then bein' all like "free hit, trollolol"... and yeah... /spam ))
Well, the guitar was gone -- but this guy wasn't a pushover when it came to sword-fighting. Typical.
It'd be false to say Warrior didn't expect some retaliation of some sort, though. Cossack's counter-thrust was met with a clash of Warrior's own blade -- the deflection left Warrior unprepared for the white meteors, though, even though he heard them crashing through the nearby building seconds earlier.
" Agh! REMN--Relax, I got it!"
A black-ish, dark purple-ish silhouette of Warrior stepped out of his body with arms crossed over its face just before the meteor hit, absorbing the blow entirely without showing any signs of pain other than a grunt.
Heads up.
Remnant looked up, but Warrior looked to Rikaru, who had a cannon raised to him.
" ... Two against one?"
" No, heads up."
Warrior looked up to see the falling Ku'i -- not very thrilled for the imminent pain. But yet again, Remnant had it under control.
Using Warrior's shoulders as a foothold, Remnant jumped up to meet the falling idol so that he could cleave the rock in two before it managed to deal any harm to Warrior.
Watching Remnant's interception, Warrior was caught off-guard by Rikaru's blast -- but as it knocked him back, he heard another bullet whiz by his head, narrowly missing him thanks to Rik. As for where it came from -- he was unsure.
As Remnant landed from his last maneuver, Rikaru had moved in to attack Cossack. Looks like he was on the same side after all.
" ... Let's give him a hand, I guess."
Remnant was closer, so he moved in swiftly to support Rikaru's strikes. Not before, nor after -- but during Rikaru's assault, Remnant twice -- low then high -- with speed difficult to rival. Immediately after both cuts, Remnant vanished like a vapor of smoke to reunite with Warrior, who was doing little more than evaluating Cossack's actions and reactions.

OOC: If you guys din't mind, can I use my revised weapons after this post? My sword turned out to be OP and a bunch of other attacks had their effects slightly changed. Of course all of you would have to agree to let me do this.
The ashes didn't feel good. It felt as if they ate away at her armor. Not a pleasant feeling at all. After she started running, Shikaku barely dodged the cannon shell. The only reason she could with her back turned to him was the combination of her hearing the noise of the shot and perhaps because her enemy wasn't the best ranged attacker.
That seemed to be the end of any attacks directed towards her. Now it was time to get some more damage on his enemies because they seemed to be able to dodge everything at the moment. She quickly switched out her weapon for a pistol and moved so that she was around the area where everyone else was.
She shot the pistol at the newcomer twice as she moved further along the wave road. This was mostly just to distract him while Cossack could maybe get in a hit or two. She was finally in a spot where she was directly behind the newcomer. Her pistol had been replaced with her rifle and she let loose a powerful bullet once again.

With a smash, the cannon ripped into his body, sending him tumbling backwards. Landing with a roll, he stood up to see, not one opponent, but two opponents slashing out towards him. One had a nasty looking appendage lashing out of his arm, and the other lashing out at him with a blade - twice. And it looked like there was somebody behind him.
When outnumbered, you must attack relentlessly and ceaselessly.
Raising his blade, he stepped back to avoid the assault from the first, the tendrils dissipiating as they reached the two meter mark. There was the other to deal with, but he couldn't move fast enough to dodge the counter-strikes and gritted as the blows connected with his left arm.
Now that they'd moved, it was time for a comeback. Summoning a sword, he hopped forward to limit the distance to a saber-length and then lashed out at both foes with the summoned blade. The blade suddenly looked a dull gray as the paralyzing power left it after the second slash. With his ShadowBlade, he slashed high, aiming for Rikaru's skull.

Rikaru was annoyed to say the least, the guy slowed Cossack down for him, which was great, but now he was spiting out shadowy clones and attacking while he was, and he never dealt well with coordinated attacks.
If you have to help, take your pick. Him of the chick with the gun he said, rather gruffly. He didn't continue as he had to deal with the incoming sword, which appeared to have a bright yellow hue to it. He wasn't sure, but he felt it best if he didn't find out, if the sword would do more then leave a nasty cut. He leapt back, the tip almost grazing his chest, but just a inch or two shy.
The follow up strike with the other sword though, he started to move to block, realizing he had a cannon though he checked the motion, not having time to react otherwise, he ended up taking the blow.
He still had yet to get an answer from Warrior, and really wasn't interested in trying to work together with him, he ended up waiting around for the reply, taking up a defensive stance to be prepared for what the criminal duo would try next.

While Warrior was still studying Cossack, he felt a sharp pain pierce his arm, then he felt it again near his shoulder. He was shot.
Not sure of where it had come from, he turned back to the direction he heard the shot fired.
Something was moving, up along the Wave Road.
Squinting his eyes to get a closer look, Warrior noticed a sniper with a rifle aimed at him.
" Oh, shoot!"
Poor choice of wording would cost him as he stepped back to evade -- but not in time enough to evade the shot. The bullet caused him to stumble back into Cossack's slash, leaving him stunned for a second as Rikaru issued his command.
The comment was enough to get Warrior to clench his teeth in anger, but he'd already chosen his side and wouldn't go back. At least it gave him something to lash out with on the other two.
Taking a cheap shot from a long distance was also a less-than-amusing experience that would come without consequence.
" I'll take that coward up on the Wave Road. You can have fun with this one."
The aggravation in Warrior's tone of voice wouldn't be easy to miss -- it was rough, a little deep, and almost scratchy. Sounded more like he was trying to hide his anger in his voice, but wasn't doing a very good job at it.
With the paralysis now gone, Warrior made a large leap up to the Wave Road, distancing himself from Cossack on locking his vision on Shikaku.
" Payback time..."

Shikaku was about to continue sniping her enemies, but then the newcomer had decided to come up to the wave road to fight with her. That was fine by her. She could take him down either way. As if to give off the feeling that the newcomer was worth nothing, Shikaku would turn back to Rikaru and fire a bullet at him. It was just her playing mind games, so she could give off the intimidating presence she liked to give. She had payed careful attention to the newcomer to see if he makes a move.
She would then turn back to the newcomer and examine him. "Not even worth my time" Shikaku would quickly bring her rifle back up and fire a bullet at him. She decided it would be smarter to save the cards she had left for a better situation.

One opponent had taken flight, the other had stepped back. But none of them had two blades, and none of them were of the shadow. Don Cossack was; the warriors of shadow were famed for the swiftness and unexpectedness of their blows, and Cossack seeked to live up to that billing.
Never mind that his foes had already seen what his sword can do; Don Cossack was betting that they had neither the experience nor the training to deal with a two-sword attacker.
Now that he was down to single combat, he could afford to fight with a little less hastiness and a little more focus. He could afford to think it out. So he thought about it for the slightest of moments, and then acted.
Hop, lunge, stab, scissor motion!
What he thought and what he did were two different things. Instead of hopping forward, lunging, stabbing and then doing an "X" slash, he simply skipped forward and attempted to slash his opponent in a tweezer motion.

James was glad his impromptu ally opted for the sniper, it would help him being able to focus on just one fighter at a time. He allowed his two weapons he had been favoring to desolve away, leaving his arms to be freed up for his weapon of choice.
As he drew his weapon off his back though, the sniper fired once again. And while he heard the shot, he had no real time to accurately evede, thus was struck again in the side. He hoped any farther interuptions would be handled with his ally keeping her distracted.
Almost immediately after the shot went off, almost as if planned, the duel sword wielding thief lunged forward to try to catch him with both blades, like a pair of scissors. He stopped this easiliy enough by holding his soear upright in front of him, preventing the swords from closing in enough around his body to cause harm, followed by a swift kick to knock him back to give him a second to counter attack.
Whether or not his kick struck, he quickly manuvered his spear to aim the tip at Cossack, thrusting it forward as he lunged at him, hoping to catch the fighter off balance, and a poor weapons match up, his sworder blades against his long spear.

As Warrior made it to the Wave Road, Shikaku gave him her attention... but only for a mere second before she turned away to focus on her initial target instead.
" Am I not a threat?!"
Shikaku turned back to face Warrior again -- whether or not in response to his question, she quickly assessed him and made a small comment just loud enough for him to hear.
"Not even worth my time"
~BANG!~
Her gun fired off, but Warrior wasn't unprepared. He side-stepped to evade, but still got grazed by the shot... The pain only fueling his growing anger. He was knocked to his back, but immediately sprung up to his feet as soon as his shoulders hit the ground. A rather displeased aura
" I'll make you eat those words!"
Not a moment to spare, Warrior dashed at Shikaku like a dog after a bone -- disregarding the value of his cards, and instead gripping his sword with a growing fury.
As he drew near, he didn't simply slash -- that was far too predictable. Rather, he leaped over Shikaku, but kept his gaze locked on her as he somersaulted over her head. At the apex of his jump, he'd slash in a wide-arc from above before landing on the other side to immediately follow it up with a mid-section horizontal slash.
No target would stand still after being attacked, and a sniper was probably no different. Warrior swung his blade in a baseball bat-like fashion, but cancelled the swing just before it would hit -- A feint.
He wouldn't hesitate to retaliate with another swing depending on her reaction -- or even chase after her should she decide to create some distance.

His opponent moved fast, blocking the killer blow with his spear and then kicked at him, sending Cossack backwards. Going with the motion, he rolled backwards, catching the spear in the shoulder as he came up. Angrily, he dissolved his weapons and grabbed a hold of the spear, pulling hard on it and launching himself at his opponent with a high kick aimed at his opponent's head. Following up the kick with a backflip - holy cat, Cossack was athletic today - Cossack attempted an upwards slash with his reformed ShadowBlade.

OOC: Rik gets to go after me because Lash posted too early. Also, Remnant, your HP is 48%. I know I said you took too much damage before, but then you cleared it up and said my sniping and wood attacks are strong against you so yeah.

Before Shikaku even knew it, the newcomer was charging in rage. Perfect. It would be possibly his worst mistake. First the newcomer managed to pull off an incredible feat by jumping over her. But it didn't phase her one bit, adding to her intimidating appearance in terms of personality. She simply sidestepped like it was nothing as he slashed, the attack just barely skimming past her. In reality she had realized how close the call had been and knew that she had better clean up her moves.
She quickly turned around attempting to blast him point blank with her rifle, but to her surprise, she found a sword slashing into her lower torso armor. She grunted at the pain, but hoped she had gotten a trade off in. But then the sword was coming in again. Shikaku had to act quickly and that was just what she did. She leaped to the side oblivious to the fact that the attack was simply a feint. Her rifle had vanished and a pistol was in her right hand. She shot two more shots point blank hastily to pile more damage on him.
With her other hand she had simultaneously pointed behind her. A figure of bones clad in armor would enter. He began rattling violently and then lightening fell in an x shape on an hopefully unsuspecting Rikaru. She further spared him her attention by shooting two quick shots from pistol at him before looking back at the newcomer. This warrior was obviously quite adept at swinging around his sword.

James had good reflexes, but even that wouldn't save him from Cossacks unique opener. The kick struck true, as did the follow up swing of his blade, leaving a gash in his cloth like armor. He realised they seemed to be trading off blows, and wearing down as a similar rate...this wouldn't work for him if it continued like this. He needed to get the upper hand some how.
Before he could retaliate again Cossack though, a strange noise sounded behind him. Turning to see the source, he found himself staring at an armored skeleton, who was rattling as if he was afraid of him self. Suddenly, with a crack or thunder, a crossed bolt of lightning struck down towards James, obviously the attack of the strange skeleton. James had no time to properly avoid the attack, but raised his spear over head as if it would lessen the blow, and to his surprise, it did. He didn't think his spear would be able to reflect lightning, but the bolt gathered around the weapons head, and remained ready or him to send it back to sender. The skeleton had since vanished, his deed done, so he swung his spear towards the sniper, sending a now orb of electricity at her. It was vastly less powerful then its original form, but he wouldnt complain.
It would almost be a trade off, as when he sent off his reflected lightning, she opened fire with her pistol again. He began moving to the left to avoid the shots, but one found its mark at his side. He was in the clear now though, he had a shot to strike back, at both if things worked out.
While his attention was still towards Shikaku, he quickly placed his spear back onto his back, pointing at Shikaku, a meter radius circle, with her at the edge. closest to Warrior, a swirling of wind was beginning along the ground. He hoped she would be preoccupied with the sword wielder and maybe this would assist him if it worked. The winds suddenly errupted into a mini tornado, though instead of sucking things into it, it would shove her away, hopefully towards Warrior.
To follow up with that strike, his eyes glowed briefly as he kept his gaze on where she was, regardless of if his previous attack worked, followed by the air becoming staticy around her, immediately followed by three bolts of lightning that would lash out within the span of a second two.
Turning, he formed a small short blade in his right hand, looking back to Cossack, realizing he had kept his eyes off him for longer then was wise to do. He charged forward, the newly formed blade glisening off the various street lights. He lunged into action, performing a three hit combo swiftly with his blade. The first strike was a vertical slash, from the ground up, followed by a diagonal slash down from his right to the left, finishing with a horizonal cut from the left to the right across the abdomen area.
